Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Requirements and guidelines for submitting manuscripts to the African Journal of Applied Research and Professional Practice (AJARPP).
General Requirements
All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. The manuscript should be prepared in English (British or American, but consistently). The document must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx/.doc) format.
Formatting Guidelines
Font Times New Roman, 12 pt.
Spacing Double-spaced.
Referencing Style APA
Margins 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
Word Limit Original Research: 4,000 – 8,000 words. Review Articles: 5,000 – 10,000 words.
Structure of the Manuscript
Title Page (Submitted Separately)
- Title of the paper (concise, informative, and no more than 15 words).
- Author(s) names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact details.
Main Manuscript (Without Author Information for Double-Blind Review)
- Title (Again, without author details)
- Abstract (150-250 words, structured using the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRAD) format)
- Keywords (3-5 words).
- Introduction (Clearly define the research problem and objectives).
- Methods (Describe the study design, data collection, and statistical analysis).
- Results (Present key findings with tables/figures as needed).
- Discussion (Interpret findings, compare with existing literature, and discuss limitations).
- Conclusion (Summarize key findings and potential implications).
- Acknowledgments (If applicable).
- References (Follow the journal's prescribed citation style).
Ethical Considerations
- Studies involving human subjects must have ethical approval and informed consent statements.
- Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Plagiarism checks will be conducted, and manuscripts with 15% similarity will be rejected.
Figures and Tables
- All figures must be in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
- Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and included within the text.
